Ticks off many boxes for a perfect location for a getaway - simple but unique and spacious accommodation, quiet and private , fantastic views , ample relaxing spaces, good food and personalised service ( thanks Joan and Richard for the going extra mile) and of course the rigour of getting there ;

No power and when we ask about power there was no proper response from the staff and they didn't reserve enough fuel. We reported at 5pm, the manager told they have sent somebody to bring petrol,2km from hotel. After we followed up every 20mints, manager was saying petrol is coming.we met another guest they also suffered power issue from the previous night, after several follow ups they brought petrol after 3hours and they put the generator at 8.15pm.New beddings are needed, the pillows were smelling bad so they should be changed.No security lights, the place was very dark at night and not at all safe in the night. This place needs to do better because our stay was terrible. Full of mosquitoes in the room.We ended up staying half day and leaving because of all the above. No value for money. If you want to spoil your holiday then you need to visit this place. We require anything they are coming after 30 to 40 mints. Worst experience in the life. Never ever go to this place

Quite good concept, the place looks great however the distance from Kampala and the road not in good shape. A couple of rust stains on the bedsheets and pillow cases. The breakfast was great and Joan was so helpful. There’s a nice view of the lake from the room, and definitely a nice breeze Not a perfect stay but I would still come back

The property was a little hard to reach but when you arrive at this secluded lodge the views are stunning you are surrounded by farming fields, nature and of-course lake. Rustic feel with a modern twist, room was clean and nice. Food was also delicious, especially the fish and the beers were ice cold. Nice added touch with the boardgames. The Staff (Especially Helen) were brilliant, she kept the whole place running, front office, waitress, masseuse and new mother! She recently became manager and was exceptional at her job! The lodge was let down by intermittent electrical issues at night (they have solar lamps to support) and also they didn't have any working wifi (Staff helped to hotspot). If it wasn't for these issues it would be rated much higher.

Wwe stayed 2 weeks while teaching in Buvi at Yesu Akwagala Bible College. Helen, the manager, treated us so well and all the staff did excellent.. The food was delicious . The cook did a great job! Thank you staff for taking good care of us and making our stay special! Ruth and Rick Martin
